As we age, time flies by

The years appear to pass in a blur

We reflect on our youth with a sigh And marvel where all the time has actually taken place

Getting older isn't all bad

It brings knowledge and experience, we've discovered

We've gained from our errors and the unfortunate

And we use our age with a crown

We might have wrinkles and graying hair

We've made every line on our face

We've liked and we've lost and we've cared

We've discovered delight in life's easiest accept

Let us welcome getting older

For it's a journey all of us should take

Let us reflect on our lives with a shoulder

And progress, no matter the pains

For age is simply a number, they state

And it's the memories that genuinely matter

Let us live each day, come what might

And accept growing older, no matter the chatter
