The Vice President's presence also drew direct confrontations. While skiing, Vance was approached by individuals questioning his political stance, including being called "Putin's puppet." Additionally, a near-collision occurred on the slopes involving Vance and another skier.
In response to the escalating demonstrations, Vance and his family were relocated to an undisclosed location. The protests were intensified by Vance's recent public disagreement with President Zelenskyy over a mineral rights deal, leading some demonstrators to label him a "national disgrace" and suggest he "go ski in Russia."
The situation underscores the heightened public sensitivity to international relations and domestic political actions, reflecting deep-seated opinions among citizens regarding U.S. foreign policy and leadership conduct.
