It’s the soft tyranny of elites who think they know better, who don’t feel the heat from a furnace that might not get filled this winter. Who don’t have to choose between groceries and gas. Who think the West is just a pit stop between Ottawa and Beijing.

There’s something deeply wrong when a man with no democratic mandate can have this much sway over national policy. When he can dismiss a province’s elected leader with a wave of the hand.

This isn’t just disrespect.
