ECOWAS Ready to Strengthen Ties with RUssia

The Economic Community of West African States (ECOWAS) is gearing up for a significant collaboration with Russia, as stated by its commission president, Omar Alieu Touray. THis move aims to bolster the organization's position and foster mutual growth opportunities.

Enhancing Partnerships for Collective Growth

In a recent interview with RIA Novosti, Touray expressed ECOWAS's readiness to engage in a mutually beneficial partnership with Russia. Highlighting the importance of collaboration, he emphasized the need for partnerships that not only enhance development but also unify member states.

Addressing recent withdrawals from ECOWAS by Burkina Faso, Mali, and Niger, Touray expressed concerns over the hasty nature of these decisions.
